In Windows 8.1 you will need to show hidden files before deleting the Temp files as illustrated below. Then, proceed to this blog Uninstall McAfee and install SAS as described.

You'll be directed to alterVista my free webhosting company to download here, the slides below. This file is safe ignore Windows SmartScreen warnings it's a Windows Projector (.exe) File. Download Slides - How to Remove McAfee

This is a perfect example of how a harmless file not a virus - not spyware - not malware nor on any blacklist can be treated as such because of digital signatures. Allow me the "Soap Box" for a second, yet Windows allows this quasi-virus McAfee to install on your computer systems and networks. Oh, one more thing opinion aside of Chrome Google's answer to browsers, it in fact pales by comparison to Microsoft Edge The New Browser only in Windows 10.

I can't view the "AppData folder" you need to Show Hidden Files. Select on view menu shown in figure 1.

Select on the options box show/hide in the drop down menu. Then, check the box next to hidden items shown here.

Delete your TEMP files left-click on File Explorer highlight "Your Computer's OS Root Drive" double-click, Go to Next, double-click on your user name "Windows Login" > Go to AppData and double-click > Go to Local and double-click. Open the Temp folder Hold down ctrl + tap the "A" key to select all and right-click and delete. Wait a awhile because you will have a lot, skip on any file it can't delete. Your done rejoice!

Why install KIS-Kaspersky Internet Security 2015? It's a superior product to all other AVS AntiVirus software on the market. Why? Well, the Heuristic Programming that it employs is the most verbose collection of statistical analysis of all known threats. Kaspersky's blacklist associated directly with malicious software is constantly updated by the largest security network. Download KIS-Kaspersky Internet Security 2015 here

After you install Kaspersky it will automatically set a schedule to run rootkit scans. A rootkit is a type of malicious software that is activated each time your system boots up.

The Rootkit Scans run in the background, hidden out of view, quiet and deadly-fast. Now, if it slows your PC down stop it show hidden icons and right-click on the Kaspersky "K" you'll see the % percentage of the scan run.

If you suspect a Malicious Software was downloaded onto your system use this utility from Kaspersky TDSSKiller Rootkit Removal Utility (First on list). If you can't figure it out 'no worries' at the top of this Blog you can email me your issue.

Solution for Internet Explorer 11 Issue: Proxy Server Keeps Resetting itself

IE 11 Proxy Fix and Speed Up

Post by Pat Lucero

Figure 1 Command Line Short Cut Open Run Line Type inetcpl.cpl Press Enter

Figure 2 Internet Explorer Properties Box

Figure 3 LAN TAB Showing IE 11 Proxy Server Issue Corrected

Internet Explorer 11: Issue: Proxy Server Keeps Resetting itself. I change settings in Internet Explorer under the Connections Tab and LAN settings but proxy setting check box keeps showing checked after I uncheck the box. What happens? I lose connection in the middle of my Wi-Fi connection. I can’t finish my online application. I need to constantly check the box for automatic detection settings. This only happens when I use Internet Explorer 11.

Solution: This is a Registry Fix: I Recommend if you have no experience or you’re an intermediate novice that has only attempted to work with registry through third party registry cleaners do not attempt this fix email us or call me at 702-289-8638 and also on Twitter #bcpcorner

Open Regedit HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Internet Settings Right-Click on ProxyServer Modify value from http=127.0.0.1:54777;https=127.0.0.1:54777 to a different port. By changing the last two digits of the port to an increment of base 10 higher as in this ex. From 77 to 87. Resulting value string will be http=127.0.0.1:54787;https=127.0.0.1:54787. Right-Click on MigrateProxy Modify value from 1 to 0 close Regedit. Restart the PC.

Step 2. Go to LAN setting section after clicking on the button as shown in figure 3 above. You will select or Check the Bypass Proxy Server Box. Shutdown the PC for 2 minutes. Step 3. Go to Internet Explorer Properties and Press the LAN tab you will see the address and port are empty and faded. If not Rinse and Repeat on Step 2.

Last but not least go to your Internet Explorer address line type your favorite website address http://bing.com. The way to test it is working fine is to try a few different Wi-Fi connections. You will not need to ever select automatically detect settings anymore. Just connect to the Wi-Fi hotspot. Go to your favorite website. You’re surfing the web now without the need to worry that your connection will abruptly end as soon as you’re ready to submit. bcpcorner.com

Close Regedit, click on the X on the upper-right hand corner.

If you attempted the previous step and couldn't delete "CONTROLSET001", you have a different issue. Windows messages "access denied", in this scenario proceed to Step 3 below.

Third Step is to Download MCRP.exe click on run to install

Fourth Step is to Create a New Guest Profile simple just right-click on computer and left-click on properties then in Users Profiles, under the Advanced System Settings tab. Go to accounts and click on change account settings for the current guest account to administrator this is a "work around" it's perfect.

It is common in these cases where the administrator account is inaccessible that the Wi-Fi or other hardware may not work properly. Invest in a third party USB Wi-Fi adapter you'll need it if you decide to format the the HD or replace it. Not recommended, Windows 7 is not supported by Microsoft, keep it "as is" your PC is just fine install software and surf the web like it was a new PC.
